The eventual arrival

Damn those tiny droplets of water! Due to the bad weather it took poor Bonnie nearly 12 hours to travel from DC to NJ this past Friday/Saturday. Luckily she found Benny at Penn Station, the trusty Red Cap guy who found Uncle Zeke in the pouring rain. Of course ten minutes earlier Monica went inside to look for Bonnie, so then I went inside to look for Monica. As we only had one cell phone between the three of us, I thought for sure we were caught in an infinite loop. Good thing Monica saw me within two minutes of me walking down the stairs.

So last night we ordered Mexican and watch Crash which was a sobering look at race in America today. Don Cheedle is the man, and Luda was reasonably OK. Today the ladies went shopping, and I chilled in the house recovering from a slight cold.

snow days

Hola!

we got our first big storm of the season, and although I'm sure we didn't get as much as the NY crew, we have our own winter wonderland. It is about 6 inches or so. It was nice.

I got to cancel my saturday rehearsal, and have a real weekend! It was fun.

We also had company.

J'f friend Joe came down from MD with his truck (snow tired to boot!) We thought he was crazy, but it only took him 3.5 hours!

It was nice to be off, and stay warm with the fireplace upstairs (the bean has become a big fan of the fireplace!)

Unfortunately, business as usual again tomorrow. Bummer.

hooray!

Good job overseas mom! You posted brilliantly!

The new Bridget Jones movie opens this weekend, and since I just read the book on our honeymoon, I am excited to see it! Although, I might have to drag a good girlfriend with me, as I am not sure J can take the heat! ha!

Other than that, things have started settling in a bit. There was a big to-do over our musical this year, but that has been solved, so it is now onwards and upwards! Everyone is invited in to see the show the last week of February, but I understand if you can't make it...it is just a high school musical, of course.....

I will be moving into my "hibernation" phase of things around here, where I just work, eat and sleep....once the show gets into full swing. However, I am hoping to have a grand time over the holidays, provided J and I can keep ourselves on the healthy side! Cause last year was ROUGH!

just saying how do....

have a good day all!

love,
Dawn (and Bean)

Yes, Dan can post!

I have no event to report, so instead I serve up a slice of my day-to-day:

My ankles are recovering nicely. After two months of physical therapy, I'm now making regular appearances at New York Sports Club. Whooho!

So I've been getting into blogs a bit lately. Yeah, it only took me 10 years. Jason/Dawn, what are your personal blogs?? Could add a post w/links to them? Thanks yo!

Well here are some sweet links:

http://www.absoluteaddiction.com/ -- This site was co-founded by my friend Panutat who lives in Townson. Jason and Dawn just met him this past Halloween. The site is about social networking for young professionals in the D.C. area.

http://slashdot.org/ -- "News for Nerds, stuff that matters." I learned about this website during my first year as a programmer.

http://www.jacklevy.com/ -- This is my former boss's website. Some great scenic shots of Austin and some wacky tunes.

Well, hope y'all are doing well! Hope to see ya soon =)

Love and stuff, Dan

Moving the Mom

Hi!

We went up to phili this weekend to move my mom. She was a little frazzled, to say the least, but we have everything done, including most of the unpacking, by about 2pm. Her place is real cute. She was a little bit hot and cold, one minute thinking it was great, and the next one threatening to sleep at grammy's that night (it was warm, and she can't control the temperature), but overall, I think it was a success.

We went out and had drinks and a nice dinner at a new nearby restaurant. She has lots of places very close...Lowes, Walmart, Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory....etc.

The drive home was really nice, because the weather was divine! Jason drove about halfway on both ends, and he did a great job. Only stalled out once when we pulled into my grandparents' driveway. So, good job J!

Anyways, it was fun. I have a long week this week, because I will be at school all weekend--we have a performance next week.

J will be in Atlanta from Wed to Thursday...so it will just be me and The Bean.

Hope things are going well for everyone! And thanks for the baby pictures....they are so sweet! I am so happy for Heather and Eric!
